TRAIL INFORMATION

Meadowlark Trail Project - A partnership project to develop a 10 km trail between the Village of Beiseker and the Town of Irricana for recreation use. This trail follows the route of the former Canadian Pacific Railway branch line that was built in 1910 and decommissioned in the 1990s. The land was donated to Trans Canada Trail and then transferred to Alberta TrailNet Society in 2005.

Partners include: Meadowlark Trail Society,
Town of Irricana Lions Club, Village of Beiseker, Town of Irricana, Alberta TrailNet Society and Beiseker Parks and Trails Society. This Trail is an important part of the Trans Canada
Trail, which links Canadians and Canadian communities from coast to coast to coast.
